The role of the board is to ensure that ARA meets its Membership responsibilities to:
Provide an inclusive acupuncture umbrella organisation welcoming different and varied acupuncture styles to the table to help and promote acupuncture.
Provide an advocacy group with specific spin off projects and research to help promote and grow acupuncture knowledge and acceptance into mainstream science and public knowledge.
Promote the benefits of acupuncture as a valid system of healthcare.
Safeguard the public.
Promote ARA registrants’ interests.
Set strategy and policy, in consultation with and advised by members organisations and registrants
It is the aim of ARA to bring together all that practice acupuncture. As such, we have set up an acupuncture stakeholder group which invites representation from all groups in the UK and abroad. We meet three times per year to discuss the issues that affect all of our registrants in the spirit of collaboration for the good of our profession. If your membership body is not represented, please do contact us by email at admin@ara-org.uk
