The ARA Registrants Survey 2025

ARA Survey 2025

The Acupuncture Regulatory Authority has now completed analysis of its 2025 membership survey, and we are pleased to share the results with you. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to contribute. Your feedback is genuinely valued and plays an important role in helping us understand the needs, experiences, and perspectives of our members. The responses provide useful insight into the current landscape of the profession and will help inform ongoing discussions and future development within the organisation. We are grateful for the openness and thoughtfulness reflected throughout the survey. Please find the full results below. This was a surprising result, as we do advertise this, but it’s possible that some people just join their association and then don’t investigate further, but EVERY member of one of our partner associations is an ARA registrant. Please do check with your association representative about all your benefits; you may be missing out! Please remember this is a question from the membership association, not the ARA itself, so this is how long people have been association members, not ARA registrants. It looks like our partner associations are doing a good job on the whole! Well done partners! We also asked for general feedback, if there was anything more we could do or what they liked best, and the answers we got back are as follows: “Honestly, I am not sure what you offer, it would be really great if you communicated with us as acupuncturists and gave us regular updates” – We do post on social media and send emails regularly, but if there are other ways you would like to get updates, please do let us know. There were a few comments saying the support was great on social media and via email and the WhatsApp helpline, and we are really pleased that people have seen and commented on this. Some remarked that it was great to have alternative associations to join, and others said it was great to be part of the larger community, we do particularly like this response though: “Knowing that the directors and working board are highly experienced, qualified clinicians provides a critical layer of professional reassurance. If I encounter complex ethical, legal, or professional boundary issues, I have expert colleagues to consult, rather than having to navigate these challenges alone.” It’s always nice to be appreciated! We also had comments saying that they would appreciate other health insurance companies to accept their invoices, however this is down to them, it’s really difficult to get any health insurance company to list a provider, barring a very few exceptions, and we are still working hard to increase the numbers, hoping that one day we will have them all on board. Thank you everyone, and we look forward to seeing the results of the next one.
