About me Welcome to my page where I offer an insight into my training and background experience as a licensed and insured acupuncture practitioner. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Federation (BAF) and have spent three years studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, and my training included reflective practice, level 5 Biomedicine, clinical skills and safe practice. I spent my final year studying and practising with the renowned Chris Davies, CEO of the BAF and have undertaken over 300 hours of clinical supervised practice. I have also undertaken additional CPD training in accelerated tendon repair, NADA protocol, Battlefield pain management, and Cosmetic Acupuncture. I have treated a wide range of diverse health conditions with positive clinical outcomes. My journey into complementary therapies began after I experienced a life-changing spinal injury, which led me to explore alternative pain management options due to the side effects of conventional Western medicine. By using complementary therapies including acupuncture I was able to discontinue the use of prescribed medication and am overjoyed to see remarkable healing take place on my cervical spine confirmed by MRI scans. I truly believe the body can heal itself given the correct nurturing environment. Before I began studying acupuncture I spent 20 years working in various healthcare settings including the NHS. I supported young vulnerable people who had experienced significant trauma. I trained in aesthetic and cosmetic treatments and have gained over 10 years of experience. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my small family and painting which brings me so much joy. I am committed to continuing my educational journey in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), learning from the best in the industry and helping others to heal naturally and experience the truly remarkable effects of acupuncture.
