Bio
Kiyo graduated from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in Japan with a background in biochemistry. She later pursued a master’s course in Chinese Internal Medicine at Hunan University of Chinese Medicine in China and is now a dedicated Chinese medicine practitioner.
Engaged in research and development of thrombolytic and statin drugs and worked in medical and chemical fields in Tokyo for over 10 years. Have 15 years of experience in scientific and technical translation of medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Realizing that drug development can never keep pace with the advancement of challenging diseases, so Kiyo turned to the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Having personally experienced a ‘moist and elastic labour pain, resulting in a beautiful natural delivery with almost no bleeding,’ Kiyo became fortunate to encounter TCM. She is amazed by its profound depth and elegant simplicity, which led her into the realm of TCM, dedicating herself to it as lifelong vocation.
What captivated Kiyo most was the profound yet elegantly simple philosophy behind Chinese medicine. She regards this path not just as a career, but as her true calling.
In her practice, Kiyo focuses on both the physical and emotional well-being of her patients, considering their family dynamics and interpersonal relationships, especially parent-child and marital connections, which often influence health. Her care goes far beyond treating symptoms—she seeks to understand each patient’s happiness, worldview, values, and thoughts on life and death. Her goal is to help patients:
• Take responsibility for their own health
• Regain control over their destiny
• Become their own family doctors
• Achieve true health independence
Kiyo is warmly trusted by patients of all ages and backgrounds, including women, children, and men.
She specializes in several key techniques, including:
• Modern tongue diagnosis, used to prescribe tailored herbal treatments
• Meridian tracing, which helps quickly identify the root cause of disease
• Dao Yin An Qiao techniques, which directly target affected areas
• Medical qigong, used to regulate both acute and chronic conditions
During the pandemic, patients faced the dilemma of having no specific medicine or treatment. Due to lockdowns and quarantine policies, even well-prepared Chinese herbal medicine could not be received in time. In this context, manual acupuncture and online qigong played a very important role, allowing patients to practice self-help anytime and anywhere. This made me once again appreciate the charm and power of traditional Chinese medicine and realize that it is truly the highest-level healthcare that enables patients to achieve health independence.
Today, Kiyo is committed to spreading Chinese medicine across the globe—so that its light can reach every home, and its wisdom can bring hope and healing to all. Her students and patients are now found around the world, using Chinese medicine not only to support their own families but to enhance health in their communities as well.
Kiyo expresses deep gratitude to all her teachers, students and patients—and to everyone who has supported her on this journey.
