    Acupuncture is generally very safe. Serious side effects are very rare – less than one per 10,000 treatments. Drowsiness can occur after treatment in a small number of patients and, if affected, you are advised not to drive. Nausea may occur with certain acupuncture points at the first treatment although this may only last a few minutes. Minor bleeding or bruising can occur during or after treatment (in about 3% of treatments). Occasionally fainting can occur in certain patients, particularly at the first treatment. Single-use, sterile, disposable needles are always used in this practice. If you are a blood donor you may wish to book with Jolene who is registered as a Health Care Professional and no period of deferral is needed for blood donation if acupuncture is adminstered by her. A blood donor letter can also be provided.

  • Hayfever Acupuncture (15 mins) £25.00

    Short 15 minute appointment for acupuncture for the relief of hayfever symptoms. Entails 5 small facial needles and some distal points in the arms/hands. Can take a few treatments to take full effect.

  • Osteopathy - New/Reassessment Patient - Adult (16+) (40 Minutes) £65.00

    Osteopaths are Medical Professionals and you do not require a referral from a GP to be seen. Ideal for: those suffering with specific or generalised aches and pains that may require mobilisation of joints, relieving muscle tension, enhancing the blood supply to tissues and helping the body to heal. Jolene is qualified in Medical Acupuncture through the British Medical Acupuncture Society and is also a Registered Osteopath, Phlebotomist and Yoga Instructor. As well as running her own clinic, with a very structural approach, using acupuncture to alliviate musculoskeletal issues, Jolene is trained in electroacupuncure for various aliments including menopausal symptoms and specialises in medical acupuncture for cancer patients. Jolene has had the privilege of working at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital’s Wellbeing and Supportive Care Unit since September 2023, in collaboration with a dedicated team of complementary therapists and psycho-oncologists at the Ark Cancer Charity’s Wellbeing Centre. Their mission is to provide vital support to individuals facing the challenges of cancer. ​Her journey involves receiving referrals from esteemed professionals such as Clinical Nurse Specialists, Oncologists, the Radiotherapy team, and various Allied Health Professionals. These referrals pave the way for the team to deliver specialised services aimed at alleviating the symptoms associated with cancer or the side effects of rigorous treatments like surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or medication. Jolene’s focus lies in enhancing the quality of life for patients by making cancer treatments more tolerable. Through a holistic approach, she strives to reduce symptoms, with a particular emphasis on areas such as pain management, addressing hot flushing, managing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, and mitigating the challenges of an overactive bladder. Jolene is deeply committed to the well-being of those under her care, and her work is driven by a passion for improving the overall experience of individuals navigating the complexities of cancer and its treatments.
